I recall an era where gaming laptops were an uncommon breed. Obviously for the companies they were massively money making despite not shipping in many numbers. They were the type of laptop computer that everyone wanted, but the cost didn’t fall in their price range. I believe you could say they were the best laptop computers available, at least speed wise. I guess we all got excited about them but the large number of us would highly unlikely buy laptop computers that were so pricey. The future for gaming notebook computers is now seen by the global companies as a golden opportunity for them.
If mass manufactured, manufacturers can produce huge margins on gaming portables. With laptops being classed like consumer electronics this is a good profit stream for them. I am pretty sure that the majority would buy laptop computers if marketed to everyone by these global companies. I guess littler retailers are very perturbed about this. I am fairly sure that the multinational companies will seek to force the little ones out. I believe purchasing from an established brand additionally provides the perception of greater value for money. The laptops are surprisingly good too. This is in fact the core competitive advantage remaining for the smaller guys. I can determine the choice of being able to customize the notebook to be a cardinal purchasing decision. These particular buyers are usually very acquainted with the technology and can compare each of the components by themselves. In comparing specifications and looks, these buyers will pick the former.
This is amazing news from a consumer’s standpoint. The best technology will be accessible to the majority when prices are pushed further down. Who is to envisage what will happen. I am actually not sure anymore. Prices will be kept high because of the constant production of new products. Greater competition traditionally provides better technology at cheaper prices so the future will be great.
