Beach soccer is so good for the legs. The sand is soft and it makes the legs work so much harder then they have too on a regular soccer field. The amount of eye and hand coordination that it takes is greater too because there is so much more balance involved. Sand moves a lot and is not a sturdy foundation to stand on. Standing on it without playing soccer requires balance, adding a soccer game on top of that makes it that much more challenging. This soccer that is played on the beach is very comparable to ice hockey because of the balancing factors. What happens though is that once you get focused in on the game, the balance just happens without any thought of it at all. Training practice games in the sand is a great idea as it can strengthen the skills of each and every player. It gets real hot at the beach and the sun beating down on the beach can make it crazy hot. You can take Acceletrim to stay skinny, trim, and to give some energy for the games, plus because it is so hot you don’t wear that many clothes, and showing off your great body can be fun. Beach soccer is not as popular as regular soccer or as beach volleyball, but it might develop into a very popular sport in the near future.
I started writing as a way of keeping safe memories of a particularly adventurous 3 years of my life when I became totally addicted to the world of online chat rooms and met a number of ‘gentlemen’ for real that I met in fantasyland online.
However after I allowed an educated friend to read my short stories, I was motivated to attempt a manuscript, and whilst it was extremely daunting to open my life up for judgement, I considered the good I could do by way of educating people on the dangers of this kind of activity far outweighed my personal discomfort.
My manuscript became reality and in turn became a book that is now released in the USA. The title? Secrets, Lies & Chat. Since writing the manuscript and gaining a contract I have branched out in my writing but always on issues that I’m passionate about.
They call me opinionated, one-eyed, in it for the money (that one is a real hoot), out to ruin the internet etc etc. My real aim? Education of the uninititated to the world of the Internet. And no, not to ruin any part of the Internet, but to give the newbies an edge so that what they will ultimately find online won’t have such a huge impact hopefully, as it did on me.
Bitter? Never. The Internet is the best thing I can think of that has happened in my lifetime and will grow in power and might. The one big problem is the anonymity, and everyone who naively comes online needs to be aware and wary. End of story. My writing is the way I can use words to hopefully make a difference, even a small one. A little cog in a big wheel, but maybe one that makes the wheel work how it should. One can hope.
Whenever I can gain a forum, I speak the truth of what I’ve found on the Internet. I voice my fears for the children who are already online chatting. I know they will eventually wander into teenage rooms and I know what they will find once they become part of that scene. I’ve met the predators online, I’ve spoken to teenagers and heard their side of the story, and their disgust with what goes on in some of the rooms.
Online chat is a lifeline for many people and can be a wonderful way to spend idle time. Friends online are like penpals of the old days, with one huge difference. No longer does anyone have to wait by the postbox, disheartened when there are no letters. A simple connection to the internet, and there are your penfriends waiting for you to join in with the fun and banter and gossip. And yet underneath all that goodness, lurks something very different. Many never find it, but many do and are scarred for life by what they experience. Many would say I am an alarmist, a dreamer, a liar even. But I know, and so do many others, that there is danger on the Internet.
Why I write is to spread the word, both good and bad, so people have a choice, so people have knowledge of what they may encounter online. No matter what they think of what I say, with a bit of luck it will linger in the back of their minds, and one day they may be in a situation that will set them back on their heels, and they may may have reason to say, “Vena was right, there are things in here that aren’t quite right”.
If we all sit back and say nothing, just accept what is on offer and turn our back on it as ’someone else’s problem’ then the Internet that I love will become something to fear. I will do my utmost in any forum I can, to stir up some passion, to get people thinking, and my primary targets are children, young adults and parents.
I am an Australian author, living in Sydney, and have had my first book released in the USA during May this year. I have copies for sale on my website http://www.secretslieschat.net.au and those copies will be personally signed by me. I am divorced, have three grown children and one grand-daughter. I work full-time for the New South Wales Government in Administration/Supervision. Writing for me began as a hobby, something I always wanted to do, but as an avid reader of many styles of author, I could never see that I could ever write a book. After three years online involved heavily in chat rooms and a couple of exposures to online dating, I felt I had a story to share even though it would open my personal life up for anyone who read my book to judge. I considered my options carefully but really, I had no option. I knew what I had to do, and alone with no help from a literary agent, I did it. I scored a contract, and I have a book. I want nothing much more from this adventure but to be part of the education of people about the internet. The money I expended has gone on a dream

Creating a backup for the data in a computer or any electronic storage device is very important. Most equipment, including personal computers, have a good chance of “crashing,” which is the failure of the hard disk on which the data is stored. When a hard disk crashes, all the data is inevitably lost.
This possible loss is the main reason for creating backups of the data that we have and that we are likely to use sometime in the future. The frequency of backup creation depends on the usage level of the system, the kinds of files stored, the frequency of changes made to the data, and the importance of the data. Some people store a lot of files on their computers and keep adding new ones continuously. Such people need a daily or even an hourly backup.
There are different kinds of backups: full backup (creates backup for every file and folder in the system); incremental backup (only the changes are copied); unattended backup (the backup can be programmed to take place at a certain time without the active participation of the user); archive or disk image (option to create backup for just files or the whole disk); differential backup (creates backup for only changed files and newer versions of the files); and snapshot backup.
Backups can be made into a whole lot of different devices: compact disks, DVDs, floppy disks, tapes, printouts, removable hard disks, online servers, and so on. Backups can also be made into fixed media like another part of the hard disk or to another computer on the same network. Each of these has different capacities, security limits, conveniences, and risks. It is advisable to back up into more than one media for reducing risk.
The main criteria to be considered while purchasing a backup software program are the ease of operation, ability to backup without continuous monitoring, ability to handle different backup formats like hard disks and CDs, ability to restore with minimum errors, easy accessibility to backup files, ability to have different compression levels for different kinds of files, ability to backup over FTP, USB drives and networks, and ability to verify whether the files have been saved well.
There are several kinds of backup software available today. Some of the best programs include the Genie Backup Manager, NTI BackupNow!, Novastor NovaBackup, Handy Backup, Double Image, ABC Backup, Absolute Backup, Active Backup Expert, Advanced Backup, AKG Backup, Argentum Software, Avail Solutions, BackRex Backup, Backup Buddy, Data Sheriff, Disk2disk and several others. There are also free downloadable backup software programs such as TaskZip, EZBack-it-up, SyncBack, IceMirror, Version, Freebyte, Back4Win, MOB, My Own Backup, Workgroup, Simply Safe, and many more. Most of these software packages come with many other advanced functions such as password protection, restoring damaged backups, filtering of files and storing them accordingly, compression capabilities and several others. Backup software can be downloaded for free from the Internet. Some advanced software programs have to be purchased.

Without denigrating the work and contribution of Syd Field to the art of screenwriting, it is about time many screenwriters moved on.
Syd Field gave us the plot point – a clearer definition of what was previously known as the “twist” – as well as other concepts such as the “pinch” and midpoint. His work is still a valuable start point for screenwriters.
Syd Field’s midpoint analysis moved us towards four-act structure, which is well established in many cultures, whereas western culture still tends to dwell on three acts.
It seems as though Syd Field had some issues with the mid-point, one of them being that the inclusion of the mid point and consequently four act structure does not fit well with all stories – his attempt at preciseness resulted in a consequential lack of broadness and hence greater critical analysis as a template.
Hollywood has implicitly accepted four act structure – most movies now have a high point midway – usually a catastrophic event for the protagonist. Resistance to four-act structure is probably a result of our theatrical heritage.
But moving light years ahead in terms of structure is the Hero’s Journey.
Ironically, Campbell published Hero with a Thousand Faces before Syd Field published his work. Vogler wrote an easy to read update in 1992 (The Writer’s Journey). The Hero’s journey is a well established anthropological analysis of stories across cultures.
Depending on the interpretation, there were 17, 18 or 19 stages to the Hero’s Journey. But a modern, detailed analysis reveals at least 106.
There is some rejection of the Hero’s Journey as a universal template primarily because the archetypes (Mentor, Shape Shifter, Threshold Guardians etc) refer to the Quest, Fable, Fantastic et al genres. However, this is a misunderstanding as a metaphoric and symbolic interpretation leads to such classics as Midnight Cowboy and Get Carter, the original Michael Caine classic.
Ultimately, the Hero’s Journey is a much more sophisticated study of Story Structure than Syd Field’s analysis – and story structure is the most fundamental and critical of the skills that screenwriters need to possess.
Other theorists, such as McKee in Story are not as structure orientated, but their input when debating structure, is also indicative to it’s importance. For example, McKee rightly states that the screenwriting process should involve a step-outline, treatment and then a words-on-paper first draft.
The thing that held us back was this idea that a template had to be broad, which made sense if that template had to explain many stories. But a conceptual leap is the understanding that detailed templates, which may not each explain large numbers of stories, when taken together, can be more useful tools.
Further, whereas Syd Field’s analysis left the screenwriter with yawning gaps – the need to fill 30 and 60 pages – detailed templates overcome this problem.
Whereas Syd Field had difficulty with four acts, we are now playing with story structures with potentially 150 acts. This is the natural result of analysing sequences as opposed to acts.
It is like comparing today’s scientific analyses to Middle Aged analyses using Fire, Water, Earth and Air.
In conclusion, it is time screenwriters moved beyond Syd Field.

The iPod has become a cultural phenomenon. Not since the original Nintendo gaming system has the general public gone so utterly mad over a high-tech consumer gadget. You see them everywhere you go…..on the subway…..in the schoolyard…..on the runway. That’s right, my friends. High end fashion design houses like Louis Vuitton and Gucci have launched a line of iPod cases that are sure to please even the most jaded fashionista.
It should come as little surprise that somebody is designing stylish cases for the most stylish gadget ever created. There are countless iPod cases available on the market, most of which are tacky or ugly or made from yucky rubber-like materials. Frankly, I couldn’t be happier that people with a real understanding of design and fashion are giving fashion-conscious consumers some stylish options.
These cases are fashion must-haves for this year. My personal favorite is designed by Paul Smith. It’s called the Swirl. It reminds me of those psychedelic designs of the late 60’s or early 70’s. Think Mod. The multicolored strips accent the smooth texture leather very nicely, and it has a very snug fit. It is designed for the iPod mini, but it will accommodate both the 4 and 6 Gig models. I love it!
I am also quite keen on the Gucci cases. They are constructed from the classic Gucci monogrammed material, available in beige/ebony with dark brown leather trim. It also comes with a silver Gucci emblem on the front, and a nice carrying strap. The only drawback I see with these cases is the price. At close to $200 USF, these cases cost almost as much as the iPod itself! I will admit, though, that these cases are slick!
For those not interested in spending so much money on a case, Apple has quite a few reasonably priced cases on their website. There is a company called Incase that has a wonderful line of cases for your iPod. They are oh-so-stylish. They look like designer cases, without the designer price. I have a brown and pink leather one on order. It has a wonderful argyle pattern on it, and we all love argyle…..don’t we? I can hardly wait for mine to arrive! Which one do you have?
Revolutionizing the world of telephony, VoIP has become one of the fastest growing technologies of today. It has quickly gobbled up the market for the traditional and well established tools for communicating over large distances, by making them look antiquated and expensive.
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is basically a process which converts your voice into digital signals that travel over internet. Its most prominent feature is its affordability. With VoIP you can make long distance calls at a fraction of cost that you used to pay to your telephone companies. It is primarily because of the fact that transferring digital signals over internet is quite cheaper than transferring analog signals over the traditional telephone lines.
However, nowadays VoIP is in the news not for the great savings in long distance calls that it offers but for the security concerns attached to it. As VoIP runs through internet, the information exchanged can be intercepted by anyone at any time. Moreover, because of its popularity VoIP has become a soft target for the hackers. In the absence of a strong firewall system, hackers may capture sensitive information such as credit card number and bank details. They can even launch denial of service attacks and shut down a voice conversation, or send spam or virus over the internet to disrupt the services. Another vulnerability that the IT sector is worried about the hacking of VoIP networks for making free calls. According to industry sources, a new generation of “phreakers” may be able to manipulate the data switched through a hybrid TDM-VoIP network which will allow them to exploit the billing system to make free calls. Another menace that is plaguing the VoIP networks is ‘caller-id spoofing’. There are some hacking websites that allow people to control the phone number that appears on the receiver’s caller-id display. Moreover, they can modify their voice with the help of voice modification software. Thus, they have become a useful tool for private investigators and pranksters.
VoIP service providers are now trying to secure their customers from these threats through the tunneling and encryption processes. These techniques prevent the hackers from capturing the information packets as they pass through the internet. Most of the service providers are using Layer 2 tunneling and an encryption method called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to prevent anyone from getting the confidential information. However, despite of all these possible threats the IT segment is still enthusiastic about the cost savings and the added functionality that VoIP offers to their business. Most of them consider VoIP as a reliable and robust system and the security concerns not so serious to hamper the progress of VoIP.
Thus, although the attacks on the VoIP systems are at a nascent stage but they may gain teeth and hit the consumers sharply as the hackers become aware of the details of this service. Thus, it is necessary for the concerned authorities to understand the criticality of the situation and be ready to take the necessary preventive measures to prevent any major impact of these threats on VoIP in future.
Mansi Aggarwal recommends that you visit VOIP security for more information.
These days I go on to the Internet not having any clue as to what is going to grab my interest on that particular day. What is slowly seeping into my subconscious like sludge into the sewer is the idea that I’m probably going to learn something new of interest to my already strange and twisted human existence. Whether the information turns out to be credible is another issue altogether seeing that my fellow human weirdoes are prone to the occasional exaggeration and ‘white lie’. Nonetheless, every time I go for a so-called ’surf’ into the deep blue waves of social consciousness I seem to find myself sitting on some new island of information that inevitably causes a smile to crack across my crystallized serious Internet writer’s faade that I must present to my colleagues so that they don’t uncover my secret true identity, that being that I’m a Sweet Medicine Clown from the planet Zepton. That last sentence’s structure is dedicated to the mastery of Tom Robbins.
Today’s particular Internet search was triggered by memories of laughter caused by the reading of books by a fellow named Tom Robbins. Although this guy has written eight awesome novels, most people I ask have never heard of him. After searching for sites dedicated to him I did discover that a lot of other people have read his stuff and actually feel very strongly about it. The main site I found was called the AFTRLife at http://www.rain.org/~da5e/tom_robbins.html. The real buzz I experienced was the biographical information I learnt about Robbins’ personal history, I mean it’s one thing to really be affected by someone’s fictional writing, but another dimension altogether to read about what they supposedly got up to in their life.
With names like: Another Roadside Attraction 1971, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues 1976, Still Life with Woodpecker1980 Jitterbug Perfume1984 Skinny Legs and All 1990, Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas1994, Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates 2000, and Villa Incognito 2003 you might get a little insight into the style of this writer. I say you might, because you’ve really got to read it to believe it. In his biography it said that a copy of “Another Roadside Attraction” was found on the floor next to Elvis Presley when he died on the toilet. Maybe Elvis laughed just a little bit too hard! You’ve got to be careful reading these books; they just might bend your so-called ‘normal’ brain into a warped device with unimaginable powers…
It is alleged that he was thrown out of his university fraternity for throwing biscuits at his housemother. Are you catching my drift here? This guy really likes to look at reality from a different angle, actually multiple angles. The first book I read, “Skinny Legs and All” was written from first-person narrative perspectives of inanimate objects like a can of beans, a conch shell and a painted sick-I think there was a spoon in there somewhere as well! Have you ever thought about how a can of beans would perceive the world?
Having made it back from Timbuktu alive and with a son named Fleetwood Star Robbins, Tom Robbins proves to be my kind of human: original and fun. Perusing the Internet has once again added depth to my experience and to my reality. It really is fun learning more about people, places and things that I was already interested in. I’m a sponge soaking up the rays of the sun and then washing the windscreen of the Universe!
Writing can be fraught at the best of times but it never ceases to amaze me just how much more difficult we make it by our approach. Writing an Ezine Article is no different to writing anything else. You need to approach the task in a professional way. There is little point in attempting to write anything whilst trying to answer mail, doing the dishes or grooming the pet. You have to give the article your undivided attention.
There is no set formula for the equipment you choose to write with, it just boils down to personal preference. Some people prefer to use a computer, others prefer a typewriter and some still like to use pen and paper. Select the one that you are most comfortable with. Here are ten tips on how to make writing an Ezine Article a lot easier:
1. Allocate time
This will ensure that your train of thought is not interrupted. There is nothing worse for a writer than to have a good idea ruined by an interruption. To help yourself think find the quietest spot in the house, put up a “Do Not Disturb” sign up and close the door.
2. Remove all clutter
When you commence writing you do not want to be distracted by anything so clear your desk or table top of everything apart from your writing paraphernalia.
3. Select a topic
Most people find this one of the hardest things about writing and yet we are spoilt for choice. You can write about an activity that you enjoy, a sport you play, a hobby that you have, work experience, health concept, travel experience and so on. The choice is endless. Have the courage of your conviction and go for it.
4. Choose a title
Choosing a title is just as important as selecting the content. The title has to capture the gist of the content whilst at the same time be eye-catching enough to enable an editor to pick your article out of thousands of others.
5. Plan the content
There is little point in rambling on for countless pages and hope to retain the readers interest. All writing whether a book or Ezine Article will need to have a beginning, middle and an end. Write down some basic points about your content. Then use headings and follow up by expanding the headings. Once this has been achieved, organise the content so that it makes sense whilst retaining a beginning, middle and end.
6. Write the Ezine Article
A basic mistake that all novice writers make is that they charge through their content as if there is no tomorrow. They then get disillusioned with the work and just give up. Whatever you write does not have to be done all at once. Learn to pace yourself. Take tea breaks or go for walks. You will be surprised at how ideas can materialise and develop whilst enjoying a walk.
7. Proof-read Ezine Article
Having finished the article most writers will try to submit it and then wonder why it has been rejected. All content needs to be proofed to ensure that it makes sense, is grammatically correct and that it has the correct spelling. This process is both time consuming and demanding but there are no shortcuts, it has to be done.
8. Check spelling
Publishers will not accept articles with spelling mistakes. Majority of word processors nowadays have Spell Checking software. Failing that use a dictionary. There is no excuse for submitting work with spelling mistakes.
9. Proof-read Ezine Article again
Once you have checked the article twice, get someone else to read it. Does it make sense to them? Do they understand it? Do not feel threatened or embarrassed by other people’s comments.
10. Submit Ezine Article
Once you are happy with your article you can approach publishers. Ensure that you adhere to the publishers submission rules otherwise your article will be rejected even before it gets seen by an editor.
Hope that this has helped. Good luck with your writing.
You may freely reprint this article provided the author’s biography remains intact:
