A key part of the Euromillions Euro lotto is the Loteria de Elgordo – and you would do well to learn about this part. The lottery is well known for jackpots that are among the biggest worldwide – payouts as high as 2.6 billion Euros. Even that isn’t the only thing that is special here. With over 13,000 prizes available, your chances of winning a prize mean that there’s one winning ticket in every six. A surprisingly good rate when compared with other lotteries!
In the Euromillions Euro lottery one draw is made every month. But three months a year boast special lotteries for even bigger prizes. The bigger draws occur in January, summer, and at Christmas: these are, in order, El Nio, San Ildefonso and Elgordo (which, appropriately, translates to ” Fatso”).
Unlike typical Euro lottery systems, the El Gordo Lottery uses balls sporting five digits apiece ranging from 00,000 to 84,999. One ball apiece is drawn from two bowls; the first draw indicates the winning ticket, the second the prize value.
Wondering how to enter this drawing? There are two basic choices; the first is that you can buy a “serie” or a full ticket. The other option is cheaper; called a “d©cimo” which is worth one-tenth of a full ticket. Neither choice is especially cheap, though, and obviously neither has an optimal chance of being one of the 1/6 winning tickets. Because of this the Euromillions Euro Lotto also offers an e-lottery system.
Using the e-lottery system, you are certain to win a prize. All you do is buy into the Euromillions Euro Lotto syndicate and you’ll be divided into teams. Each team is assigned a number ranging from 0-9 when the drawing is held, the last number on the winning ball determines which team receives the prize. The money is distributed among the team members. Before next month’s draw, the syndicate takes subscriptions once again and the e-lottery continues.
Some people are a little hesitant when they hear that they would have to share these big payouts. The thing to remember is there’s still a lot of money to go around when the original prize was more than two and a half billion Euros. You’ll find the syndicate system is far more cost effective, and with the knowledge that you’ll share in a prize once a month, there are no worries about constantly losing. There’s clearly no better return …
